Crystals and Chains

The Crystals and Chain bracelet is truly a beautiful piece to behold. It combines chainmaille and some simple beading techniques. The students selects their own crystal color(s) which makes each piece unique. Sterling silver jump rings to complete the bracelet are provided.
Please bring
: 1 pair chain nose pliers; 1 pair flat nose pliers; 1 pair crimp pliers; 42-48 6mm crystals (all one color, half and half, or your choice); clasp; beading mat; task lamp (optional)

Olympus Bracelet

The Olympus bracelet is a very interesting bracelet to make. It lies nicely on the wrist and is very attractive to wear. This bracelet will be in a two-tone combination of sterling silver and yellow gold filled jump rings. Jump rings are provided in the kit to complete the bracelet.

Little delicate chainmaille ladies for your lobes. I have a Knot, a Criss-Cross and a Fuchsia pattern for you to learn PLUS you will learn to make the ear wires. Learn them and practice alternative connections of various components your result is a fascinating necklace. Time permitting earrings too.

1 Ringy Dingy, 2 Ringy Dingy

This workshop you will not want to miss. You will create 2 rings of sterling silver and get ideas/suggestions/techniques to make many more later. A ring for every occasion and every outfit. These sterling beauties will last forever. They are not difficult and you will have detailed instructions for 2, if your imagination ever gets stuck. I will have my tumbler to shine them up after completion. Do not use pearls if you want to tumble them.
Please bring: Ring #1 : Approx 10 assorted small beads. MUST have holes large enough to handle 18 g and/or 22 gauge wire. Nothing larger than a size 3. Be sure they are a grade that can handle tumbling. No pearls unless you want to hand clean them.
Ring #2: 1-6mm round bead/ball (hole must accommodate 18-gauge wire), 2-4mm round beads/balls (hole must accommodate 22 g wire), Wire snips, Chainnose pliers, Round nose pliers.

Introductory Metalsmithing Workshop

Presentation will provide students with the information needed to set up a metal smithing workspace necessary to complete basic jewelry projects with metals such as silver, copper, brass, etc. Demonstration to include suggested tools and safety instruction for basic metal work 'without the use of solder'. Intended class projects at the students discretion but demonstrations will include sawing flat silver sheet, forging wire, sanding, doming, stamping, making headpins, piercing and finishing. Miscellaneous tools and flexible shaft rotary tools provided for use in workshop. Students can bring beads (hole size at least capable of stringing 0.018inch diameter wire) which can be incorporated into a pair of earrings. Demonstrations include beading wire (making headpins), preparing bracelet/necklace clasps, cutting out charms/pendants and constructing earring wrapped loops. Comprehensive instructional tools & techniques handout provided. Contact instructor for more information:

Gorgeous Art Beads
Wisconsin artist Sandi Obertin

During this class students will have the opportunity to create some extraordinary intricately patterned medium size and large size accent beads that are simply gorgeous. Students will learn to work with a wide variety of art materials while creating their art beads. Sandi will share lots of great tips and techniques. Students will take home some gorgeous art beads the knowledge of how to create more of these treasures! Students may assemble a simple focal bead pendant necklace during the class, if desired.
Please bring a pair of scissors.

All supplies will be provided.

Artistic Adornments

Students are sure to have fun creating mini-mixed media metal tags that are the perfect finishing touch for beaded necklaces (see samples). (Of course these dynamite little works of art can also be used to create earrings, zipper pulls and paper arts accents.) Students will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of unique art materials including Sandi's Rubber Nature Decal Images while learning lots of great techniques. Students will have the opportunity to create up to six individual art pieces during the class or take the materials home to complete their pieces. All art supplies will be provided.
Please bring a pair of scissors.

(No beading will be done during this class.)

Embedding Techniques for Polymer Clay

Is it dichroic glass or polymer clay? It's polymer clay that looks like dichroic glass! Join Sandi for a fun, technique filled polymer class class unlike any other. Sandi will share her techniques for making polymer clay look like dichroic glass as well as some of her other fun techniques for embellishing polymer clay.
During the class students may create necklaces, broaches, earrings... Create as many pieces as time allows.
NOTE: New clay work will stop a half an hour before the end of the class so everything can be baked. During this time students may work on assembling their jewelry pieces.
All art materials will be provided including a variety of beads.

Create a unique cap for the garden, golf course, or just for the fun of it.
Experiment with different techniques using fun things like beads, buttons, trims and found objects to add sparkle to your unique creation.
All you need to design this one-of-a-kind cap will be provided. You just need to bring your imagination.
If you have a special cap or hat you would like to embellish, bring it along.

Persian Weave GSG Bracelet in
Argentium Sterling Silver

A slinky but bold bracelet that feels like liquid silver round your wrist.  
Students will be working with Diane's hand coiled, cut and polished Argentium sterling silver jump rings to weave this bracelet.
Students may complete this bracelet in class.
Materials provided: Argentium Sterling silver jump rings, clasp, step-by-step illustrated instructions.
Supplies to Bring: Two pair of flat nose, smooth jaw, jewelry pliers.  Beading mat, magnifiers.

Beg Flame: Blown Ornaments

Learn how easy it is to make fabulous blown glass ornaments in this fun class. Each student will be given 10 glass tubes to fill with their favorite colors of glass and heat at the torch. You will then blow the warm glass into a one-of-a-kind ornament (no they don't all work out, but you are guaranteed to get several beauties).

Beginning Bead Making

This class is intended for students with no beadmaking or hot glass experience. Emphasis is on learning how to use the Hot Head beadmaking torch to make glass beads. Basic skills such as winding the glass onto the mandrel, surface decoration, and several bead shapes will be practiced. Please wear long, cotton pants, and closed-toe shoes (Please, no sandals.)
Class fee includes all materials.
